Really, you can't install the plug cap with the engine installed? Really. Orange blows.

I chickened out. I loosened the engine and tilted it so i could clearly install it.
Very strange layout. Plug cap is a bitch, head pipe is nearly as stupid to install. Very noisy valve train. So I suppose I will have to loosen engine again to recheck valve clearance. Bike is by far the most annoying thing to wrench on. Doubtful I will ever try one again.

Lol once u figure it out its not too bad. Get an aftermarket cam chain tensioner like dirt works and that'll help a lot with the start up noise. I've never had to loosen motor for plug cap and/or valve clearance check, like I said it's not bad once u figure it out but I definitely agree it could've been designed better. Oem battery is junk also get a wps and it'll make a world of difference

I have no idea how you would get the plug cap out. There is not enough clearance below the frame to get it in or out. Maybe if it was flexible, but it's solid. You would break the plug trying to take in or out. Terrible design. Oh, and bought a Dirt tricks tensioner. Was recommended on another post I had up.

Europeans always design weird crap. I work in the automotive tooling industry and sometimes i scratch my head at some things i see. Right now mercedes is having us make tooling for like 27 versions of 1 part for 1 car.

Just checked my valve clearance the other day (2017 KTM 250 sxf). It is possible to get the plug cap out without loosening the engine. I moved the electric wiring out of the way and managed to get it out (and in) on the left side of the frame. It was a bit scary though but possible.
