2 things or a combination of both.

The gasket neees replaced.
You didnt put any or enough yamabond or similar on the lobes of the gasket.

I usually put a generous amount of yamabond on when i do my kx. If i dont it always leaks even with a fresh gasket.

My 2016 Husqvarna FC250 did this as well. It's common for the gasket to start leaking after having it on and off multiple times, or just old age. When I put in a new piston at 92 hours, I also installed a new valve cover gasket. Do not use any sort of sealant on the gasket, it will likely flake off and end up inside of your engine.

Every service manual says to put silicone sealant on the lobes.

I too had this same issue on our 16 250sxf pretty much right from it being new, I put a light layer of hondabond on it and no more leak. Just make sure u don't use too much to where it will get in the motor. Also I only put it on the side of the lobes not around the whole thing
