Is RG3 Suspension under new ownership (vs. back around 2008)?

Good afternoon Vital MXers!

I am building up a neat 2008 CRF450R and really wanted to have RG3 Suspension revalve the suspension with their Smart Valves, as I recall this modification was really well received back in the 2008-era.

So … I've been trying to get in touch with RG3 Suspension, their website hasn't been updated in many years it appears, when I call the phone # on their website it doesn't connect but says "you have reached a number that is no longer in service" (# 714-630-0786) but then I got a follow-up call from a guy on a cell phone (I appreciate the effort, I do!). When I queried that guy about Smart Valves, he said they didn't have any Smart Valves in stock anymore but that they could revalve my suspension just as well without them … what?! I thought Smart Valves were their technology "upper hand" … what is going on???

So … RG3 Suspension just doesn't seem to be the same company as it was 10 years ago … anyone out there know what's up with them? Is the original owner Rob Henrickson involved with the company anymore?

I have an old set of suspension to I'd like to have RG3 revalve/Smart Valve it for me and now they seem to be MIA. Uh oh ...

If anyone knows the situation, please chime in!

I think the alpine wy shop is still running as well.. or call the racing station in driggs idaho he may know as well.. good luck.. o had some back in 05 and it was awesome suspension..

Same here. The OP was considering buying ny setup with linkage/smartvalves (took off bike before selling).

Rider 5280, were you ever able to get ahold of anyone? I'm also building an '08 Crf450 and would like a set of their triple clamps if they are still making them.

Yes, RG3 did get back to me, but it was a weird, drawn-out deal. I tried to contact them via email multiple times with no response, I left multiple voicemails with no response initially, and then someone got back to me (Daniel? can't remember for sure). At any rate, I lost total confidence in them as a company (their website was last updated in ~ 2012?) and through my research got some great leads on Enzo Racing given the type of suspension setup I was looking for (super plush, stays up in stroke, etc.). I ended up going with Enzo (Craig Decker @ Enzo in Texas is who I am going to likely try, I am already working with Enzo in CA on my YZ250F). I wanted to go the RG3 Smart Valve route, but when I learned that RG3 doesn't make those anymore for the older Hondas like our 2008s, I lost all hope at that point.

Please send me a PM with your contact info and we can talk some more 2008 CRF450R talk. Maybe do some part trading, etc.
