I think and I’m hoping this is a dumb question but I went to grease my linkage on my 2017 YZ250 today and realized I put the linkage connecting rod #26 on upside down last time I greased it. I can’t see much difference besides some numbers stamped on one side and the flat spot for the bolt head on one side. Basically the way I had it on was the nut #23 was on the shifter side but everything else seemed to line up fine with the lower shock and triangle. Anyone see a reason why the orientation of this part would cause any type of damage? Thanks for any help.

As long as it hasn't contacted other items (swingarm, knuckle, shock body, etc) then it'll be fine.

I don’t think it did. I rode for 16hrs like that but I can’t really tell a difference besides having all the nuts on the same side?
