Impact wrench recommendations?

Working on my project 98 yz250 it’s becoming apparent I need an impact wrench.

Do you guys have any recommendations for something below $150? It would just be used for moto. I prefer electric or battery.

I have a dewalt battery powered one. Works fantastically. I also got the 1200ft-lb battery powered impact from harbor freight for bigger bolts. Thing is a beast.

I got one from Harbor Freight, they have a couple different ones. I got the 18 volt 1/2 in drive cost was around 100.00. They now have one 20 volt cost 229.00 but the cheaper one worked great. Took everything off super easy, clutch nut, primary drive bolt and stator nut. It was my favorite tool for the build. Works great.

Is it the Chicago Electric one? That’s the main one I was lookin at.

I scored a 3/8" Craftsman cordless impact a while ago and love it. I think 1/2" is too big
for general motorcycle work. And for some reason, the 3/8" models are hard to come by at a reasonable
price.

The Chicago Electric wrench is $120 and I could use the regular 20% HF coupon.

It’s $170 and the HF catalogue has a 20% Earthquake brand coupon I can use.

I’m now leaning towards the EARTHQUAKE impact. It’s about $40 more and compares better in almost every way.

I agree it's too much for general stuff. I got it just for those 3 big ticket items I mentioned before. I can take the clutch basket off without the holder tool which can break tabs off. Friend just bought the 3/8 one for general stuff and said he should of got the 1/4 in one. Will the 3/8 work for those 3 big ones, Clutch,stator and primary drive bolt?

Hey everybody I ended up going with a corded Chicago Electic half inch impact. I figure I would rather invest in a high quality battery powered impact wrench down the line. I already used it to remove the primary gear nut and it came out with ease.

Thanks for all the input. I should’ve got one of these a long time ago.
