I am looking at trying to get a little more out of my 17 fc 350. I did the tokyo mods ecu flash, drill holes in the airbox, full fmf exhaust. Air filter cage without backfire screen. I have ran t4 and u4e fuel.

I am thinking of getting a vortex ignition, and a high compression piston. Has anyone else done this mod?

Would it be worth it to use VP MR12?

For 25 bucks you can drop a tooth on the front sprocket, and will have a drastically different bike. If you haven't tried that, I would highly recommend it.

I went up 2 teeth on the rear, and didn't really like it. It made 2nd gear really short, and couldnt pull a lot of turns in 3rd gear. I really like the stock gearing. I can pretty much ride most tracks in 2nd and 3rd. 52 tooth rear, I was shifting a lot more.

Just looking for somebody that has experience with the vortex ecu and high compression piston on this bike.

I believe there's a guy on KTMtalk that makes Big Bore kits for for those bikes ,I think that route would give you the best bang for your buck, few years back I did a 250f it was amazed how 30 CC's can make such a big difference.

Every time I would do the gearing thing my son would have the same complaint as you.

I’ve ridden a big bore 350 by Thumper Racing and it was impressive.

I’ve been told to stay away from MR12 because the sediment it leaves behind. T4E is the best reasonably price fuel and u4.4 i believe will give you the best gains.

Not sure where you’re located but having the bike fully mapped with the Vortex on a dyno will make a world of a difference!

If you are looking into getting more power, I would recommend the high comp piston with the U4.4, along with a set of cams from DCR and some port work on the head. Dan Crower is getting some really great power out of our 350's with his cams and port work.

DCR posts a lot on IG about developing the 350s, if that's anything to go by.

Yes he does. It's great to see his work and what he is doing to get the most power out of them.

with a pipe, ignition, mild flow work to the head (extrude honed), and his cams, Dan got 63 hp out of my '17 350 on MR12. Most tracks I can ride the whole thing in 3rd gear. And it absolutely tears up the hill at Glen Helen. Very fun and fast but manageable
