You can, you need to weld a new y-piece on the down tube as well as new engine mounts.

You could use existing rads if you find hoses that fit or can be made to fit without kinks.

The pipe would probably needs a mounted welded, not sure as I don’t know much about the exact set up.

Go on banned500s or something along that line... lots of 500 info.

Also a lot of dudes are going away from the aluminum fram swaps and going to steel conversions... for whatever it’s worth

They are using KTM frames... then you still get all the updated suspension, brakes etc.. I also have seen some Yamaha frames.. the aluminum frames are ridgid and vibrate horrible.. there is some very qualified conversion builders and there is also a lot of hacks!! my personal opinion after riding both AF CR500 and stock cr/kx 500 I would keep the stock frame and drop the money in suspension and brake updates... look up Sean collier KX 500 he did some awesome updates and he flies on that thing...once again just my 2cents...

Ps.. I think it was MXA that has the KTM/CR 500 build

That 02-07 era is a good donor for a 500. I really like that chassis. Easy to convert as well. Nothing to wierd.
I have built, rode, raced a few of those. Great bikes.
With that said, my ktm fits me much better than any honda chassis.
On the left.
