Hi,
I’ve taken my sx 150 to get an new piston, when stripping the the engine the shop said it needs a new big end bearing as it’s making a noise.

I asked him to do it, he was in the process of putting the bike back together today and he text me saying I’m an idiot, I took it for granted it was a 125 so he needs to re order a 150 piston.

I just wanted to check that the big end bearings that he’s fitted will have been ordered for a 125 too rather than a 150, are the big end bearings the same parts for both the 125 and 150 or does the engine need to be split again and 150 bearings fitted

What year? 2016 plus is same crank, 2015 back I'm not sure. They use different crank shafts but might share the same bearings.
Btw you're not the idiot. Who strips down a "125" and doesn't notice it's a big bore? That's on the mechanic

It’s 2011, no he tx me saying he’s the idiot. I know it’s not on me I told him it’s a 150. Hoping it’s the same he assures me it is but I want to check with anyone who might know for certain before accepting it back
