Hey guys. Any of you have this issue with a Guts VS seat cover? I had the Velcro detach after installing it. I cleaned the seat base with a damp paper towel, to remove dirt, then used rubbing alcohol to remove any oils and then applied the Velcro. It’s a bummer it peeled off as it sure looks good and felt great too. I do see in some install videos on YouTube that people used some staples to secure it but I went with this cover to avoid needing them but maybe I’ll need some after all.

No experience myself and was considering getting a Velcro cover for my new Husky. I keep hearing so many different experiences about their product ranging from the best ever to it looks like a 5 year old stitched my seat. Hard to see the product as being consistent.

I have used a couple of VS seat covers and had great luck with them. I also used like 6-10 staples in the velcro to secure it.

The craftsmanship of the seat cover looks great to me. I was very pleased with the fit and finish. Now if I can just get the velcro to stay in place I will be in great shape.

Off topic but let me know if you still want that shock. If not it's getting sold with the bike

I spoke with Jayme over there and that is what was suggested for me as well. Sounds like that is what I need to do. Thanks!

I had the same issue on my rmz450 with the OEM plastic base. I ended up stapling it like a conventional cover and its been fine, its a great cover, looks awesome and grips nice. But the Velcro system is pretty pointless

My crf450 velcro detached. Such a cool seat though

Guts is sending me a new set of velcro pieces and I will be stapling it down to the seat base as well. Hopefully that works or I will do what RussB did and staple it down like a traditional cover.

I had a normal cover installed with staples. Love the grip and looks of the cover. I'm not impressed with the quality. The stitching has started to come out on one of the side seams in about 20 hours. I'm not hard on bikes or anything either.

I prefer the staple version over the VS. The covers themselves are made very well and are very durable. The Phantom seat foam has the perfect feel for me.
