I am in the process now on a 2016 YZ250F. Should be assembled by May. Here's some info:
https://www.vitalmx.com/forums/Tech-Help-Race-Shop,42/YZ250F-Valvetrain…

A nice member on Vital had a GYTR head he no longer needed, it was recently refurbished by Millennium with copper valve seats, so I figured I'd give it a try. It certainly has WAAAAAAY more flow capability than OEM just looking at the port work, so that is favorable. It's a crapshoot, but more flow was my objective to support the bigger piston's air gulps plus performance, in general. I likely will try the head with the stock cylinder and a hi-comp piston at some point, too.

My buddy had a big bore 270 kit with the GYTR head, and vortex ignition. Absolutely ripped! Way more torque off the bottom than my 350. His Yami had KYB kit front and rear.

I've ridden many modded bikes over the last couple years, his 270 Yami is my favorite of all!

Whoa ... you have firsthand experience with the YZ250F big-bore vs. KTM 350SX-F ... and you like the 270 best?!

You may have just saved me $11k.

I’m kinda thinking instead of a new bike, il do a BB kit with either the head or hot cams stage 2 cams, but I think the head would be better!

I think the head is the way to go as well. I've heard many say they like or even prefer the OEM cams any way.

What year YZ250F do you have?

You won't be disappointed with a BB! I had a 2017 350 and have a 2017 270, the 270 is only inferior in torque and not by much. Peak hp was really close and the 270 handles better.
