Have an 09 kx450. Dont know anything about tweaking the internals of the forks. I rebuilt them about 5 hours ago with new bushings and oil and all that and also put in springs for my weight. Im finding the upper portion of the stroke is too soft. Over rough chop it feels like it just sinks through the stroke. Are there any kits you guys would recommend to help with this? I thought maybe it could also be a packing issue because of the rebound being on the slow side.

If the rebound is set too slow it will pack on the compression stroke. You can also add a few clicks to the compression while backing off the rebound to get some additional help.
Also be sure your rear sag is correct so that the forks will work correctly.
