I have a 2012 CRF450 that I wanted to install a flywheel weight on to smooth out the power. After looking everywhere, I wasn't having any luck. I called Steahly and was told that they only offered a heavy steel clutch basket for $355. A little more than I wanted to pay. Any ideas on where to find a flywheel weight or other options? Thanks

you can run a super heavy duty rear tube or a mousse bib tube, get an o-ring chain and possibly alter your gearing at the same time, and lastly you could also increase your tire size to a 120 or 130 if they make that. Those are all creative ways to smooth out the power if a flyhweel weight is not available.

I have heard about changing the gearing on the counter sprocket. Don't know the correct gearing for it. Anywhere I could find out? I was really surprised at the lack of a flywheel weight for that particular year.

The use of a Rekluse clutch will smooth out the power greatly.

Changing the countershaft sprocket alone will probably be too big of a jump. Going down one tooth on the rear sprocket will soften things just a bit and probably be just what you need. You could also look into running it a touch richer.
