The bike began making the infamous ticking sound which sounded like the cam chain tensioner. I took the bike apart checked my tensioner and replaced it with the tokyo mods manual one. I also checked my valve clearance which was out of spec. I got them all in spec and of course did all of this while at top dead center. I then put it all back together and the bike sounded fine. I went and rode and about 1 lap in once the bike was hot the sound got worse and amplifies with rpms. I just got back took it apart completely and noticed wear on my intake rocker arm and cam which I am assuming is my problem. BUT before I go and spend the money does anyone have any input, similar experience or why this happened out of no where?
-clogged cam/rocker oil jet and lack of lube
-overly tight intake valves which basically means the rocker arm was riding on the entire cam lobe and never getting a chance to cool down or re-lube itself.
-improper heat treatment of the rocker arm and it was too soft (manufacturer defect). I doubt this as it's rare and I haven't seen this before unless someone smoked and oil pump and lost pressure to oil the cam.
How many hours on the bike?
Replace the cam and rocker for sure.

My intake valves were very tight when I originally checked them which may explain why this could happen. I also noticed the intake rocker arm shaft has an extra hole in the middle where I am assuming oil lubricates the system. I did not notice this until after I disassembled, When I replace it does that hole face up or down?

Welcome to europe quality!
the jet can be taken out and blown out
Replace intake valve components
Its not a oil wt issue
Your trying to lap the vales? Cut the seats w new valves
My VERY PRODUCTIVE comment was aimed at the others after you that didn't realize you resurrected a dead thread from over 2yrs ago and are attempting to help the OP with a problem that surely has long since been resolved.
