Hi guys, a friend of mine bought recently a 2015 FC 250. Today we were trying to bleed the clutch and now when you put the bike into gear it dies because the clutch does not disengage at all. It was working before we try to bleed it, so I'm sure it has nothing to do with worn disks, notched basket, etc. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Did you put the proper fluid in it? Some take DOT4 and some take Magura's oil. With the wrong fluid, you can damage the seals. Another possibility is you may still have air in the lines.

Do you mean the clutch does not work like you cant have it in gear running? Maybe you have fluid in the line, hydro clutch are finicky.

Yes it call for DOT 4 brake fluid. I'm sure it has no air in the line. So I inspected the friction disks and there you have it. They are done, but the owner swears that the clutch was working properly. Should changing the clutch plates be the solution? Is there any way to make the clutch work with worn disks? (although if it was my bike I would use that $hitty disks ever) Thanks guys.

How many hours on the steels and fibers? Sounds like you should replace them unless you are in a bind.

Did you ever pull the clutch slave off the engine? Wonder if you damage the o ring seal?

I add an extra thrust washer to the mushroom that takes up slack at the lever. You don’t want to add too much because then the clutch will slip. So I’ll might be trial and error to see how far you can push it.

Thanks bud, I haven't thought of that. Finally the clutch worked fine. My brother just started the bike and before putting it into gear we pushed the bike so that it wouldn't stall and after getting some speed he clicked first gear. After a few minutes of riding it, the clucth performed flawlessly. Pretty weird to me.
