Are there any real power gains changing ur silencer. Im running stock chamber and just put an fmf shorty on. Havnt had a ride yet but the 250 2 stroke sounds mental now

Changes the delivery. Usually shortys give bottom end and longer ones will give top. Might give a couple hp but nothing youll feel.

shorty silencers suck unless you are running a topend pipe

my yz250

gnarly pipe, 304 factory sound- worked very well
gnarly pipe - r304 horrible signed off at half throttle it felt like
stock pipe 304- pretty good
stock pipe r304- terrible like the gnarly r304 combo i was casing jumps
pc works r304- best combo i have tried, power everywhere revs out, i liked a flywheel weight to tame down the motor

Thx for reply adam good info on combinations. Did a race today 40 full gate (250cc support class) got 5th or 6th into holeshot held position all race noticed a lot more throttle control with the shorty also i feel 2nd gear revs out more and is more responsive in corners when u have little throttle open to keep momentum. Bike seems less restricted. If any 1 thinks the upgrade is not worth it.. id say it is cheers
