As the title states, what is the easiest way to strip these black rims without a ton of elbow grease? If I can't figure it out, I'll just let them look like shit scared black rims, or touch them up with a marker. I always preferred silver rims because the marks are not as noticable.

The easiest way is to buy silver ones. I don’t think there’s an easy way to do it besides a crazy anodizing stripper.

If they're anodised a warm bath in a caustic soda solution and a rinse will do it. That is how anodisers strip. This assumes wheels dismantled.
If they're powder coated much harder - easier to replace.

If anodized...use Easy Off oven cleaner...test a small area that can't be seen. If powder coated...use high strength industrial aircraft paint stripper.

The easiest way to do it is take your tire off, take off all the spokes and then get you some acetone and it will come off very easily. Maybe a little scrubbing if it’s a thick coat. If they were powder coated then idk. I’m sure acetone can do it even if the tire wasn’t off but it’s a good idea to just make it easier by taking it all off. Better results in the end too

If you can get all the paint off with the acetone then go back over it with mother’s aluminum polish and it will take off all this black shit that builds up on aluminum I’ll show you one sec I got an old rim in front of me

That’s what came off with two minutes of scrubbing with the mothers stuff

Make sure To install especially around your tire with assembly lube. This way nothing is dry and it can settle in nicely to the rim

If your gonna do that I would just redo the whole bike. It doesn’t take me a big excuse to redo an entire bike lmao hahaha

I’m just kidding don’t redo the whole bike. Check this picture out. It’s like the more you polish the better it comes out.
