Hi,

I would say the Barnett clutch baskets with steel inserts will never wear, so are the best value. So why are still so few people recommending them and favoring e.g. Hinson more...whereas all the coated alloy baskets will wear eventually? Do the friction disk wear so much more or what's the case?

The Barnett stainless steel inserts will still notch eventually- first hand experience here.. The good news is Barnett will replace the inserts for a small charge ($20 approx), which effectively returns the basket to new condition.

Sound good. How about the friction plates? The steel inserts don't do hurt to them?

Not at all. I have one in my. YZ 250. Love it. Had the inserts replaced back in march and it was a quick and easy process. Great customer service. Definitely changed my mind on the baskets. I, like you, always thought the Hinson was better,
