So this bolt needs to come off so I can slit my cases... is it reverse or normal thread? Is connected to the crank so I’m guessing it’s reverse threads? I tried heat. A little impact but not to much as I’m not sore the way the threads go . Please help vital

From the 125/150 Service Manual. I assume the 250/300 are also LH thread.

It should be left hand. I believe mine is torqued to 140ftlbs, so it may be hard to get off without the clutch basket on and binding the gears with the motion pro tool

250/300 is also Left Hand thread, my 16 300 is. Right loosen, left tighten.

I generally break this nut loose prior to removing engine from bike with a impact gun. As I don't have the special holding tool, I thread a little climbing rope in through the spark plug hole to keep the piston from turning over and hit with impact wrench. Some folks will jam something like a flat head between gears to keep it from moving, but in my experience its a good way to chip gear teeth or do other damage (not recommended). If you don't have the holding tool, not too tough fashion something up that wont do damage.

If you don't have a holding tool you can use a penny to jam the gears (penny is soft enough that it shouldn't hurt the gears). Another option is if the cylinder is on you can make a jam tool with an old sparkplug and a wooden dowel to jam as said above against the piston.

LHT as mentioned. I know it doesn’t help at the moment but this gear holder tool is well worth it.
