Crf450r new top and bottom end

Hi all, I just completely rebuilt my bike. Have put about 25 minutes of ride time/break in heat and cooling cycles. What I'm curious is when I should change my oil because of the rebuild along with small metal shavings and breaking in parts, etc. I want to go ride tomorrow and am trying to figure out if I need to change my oil prior to or if I should just change at regular intervals. Thanks in advanced guys!

I do mine after 2 hours - so basically 1 ride day. Then after that i go back to normal intervals. I do mine every 3 rides

I would be more interested to find out why you would have metal shavings after a new rebuild.

Well I mean more so, a fine dust of metal, it's got a new cam, new cam chain. Wouldn't there be some fine metal residue?

Not if cleaned properly. Metal shavings indicate a problem.
