So after this season, I’m going to be doing a full tear down and sending my ecu to XPR.
I’ve never been been keen on high comp pistons in 450s but I’ve also never ridden a cammed bike before.
Not sure if I’ll have the head ported or not (depends on opinions), but thoughts on mapping and a cam?
Just looking to get a more lively bottom end that carries into the mid a lot better/linear and carries into the top, but not have an overly sensitive throttle response. Granted most of that is mapping, but I wanted to hear thoughts on aftermarket cams, with or without porting.
I never considered this in the past but due to how tame this bike feels off bottom, I don’t lug it like you usually do a 450 so I’ve been using the whole power of the bike more often.
Thoughts, opinions from experience?
Again, high comp piston is not an option I’m willing to take.
