I’m building a 93 cr500 and wondering what the best front end conversion would be?

I adapted a complete 03 CR250 front end on my 89. Needed the All Balls conversion headset bearings and it bolted right up. Modified stops would have been next had I kept it.

A set of 96 CR250 clamps will allow you to bolt on any modern 47mm Honda Showa forks. You may have to swap your stem to the 96 clamps. I have a 96 CR250 that I bolted on a complete 2008 CRF450 front end to. Try to find a good condition complete front end, with brake system & front wheel, axle, spacers etc. makes they sway very easy & you will have much upgraded brake system with good aftermarket support for larger rotors etc. I just picked up a 94 CR250, I”m debating if I will do another front end swap, I may just keep it original.

Thanks for advice! I know where a complete front end is for 2006 crf250r, would that be worth the swap? Thanks man!

Yep, may have to up the spring rate but it will be night & day better than the original forks, and you get the upgraded front brake system as a bonus.
