You can check your basket. It might need the edges filed down. The plates could be sticking as well. My bike does the same thing until it gets good and warm and I'm suspecting that one of those two symptoms are our problem.

When all the clutch plates are removed can you spin the inner hub freely? In neutral obviously.

The outer basket is pretty bad. The inner one is fine. Im going to try and file it down to smooth it out til i can replace it. All the clutch plates are new. I soaked the fibers in a,bag of oil before installation. My other old bike didnt do this and looked about the same.

Fix or replace your basket, inspect pushrod, actuation arm, pressure plate wear, replace anything that is blued from overheating, feel for ridges on pressure plate, should be flat & smooth. What kind of plates & springs? In my experience Oem Honda plates are the best, unless you can get Hinson plates for that model. What kind of oil you using? Should be JASO ma2 rated for motorcycle wet clutch...just some food for thought....if you basket is hammered, likely everything else is too....now if that were a Suzuki, you could replace everything & it still would feel like shit....
