I’ve taken to knob out and cleaned it already, was wondering if there is any other fix than buying a new assembly all together? Just getting to the point to where it’s bugging me and I’d rather just have it stay up on it’s on rather than hold it while I kick the bike. Carb is the Keihin off a 2016 KTM 125/150.

Had that happen once and never could get it to stay clicked up. They're kinda of expensive new but I picked up
one used on eBay for cheap.

I had the same issue on my old 250 2 stroke. The plastic base looses its tension. I used a small zip tie or safety wire to hold pressure on it.

I've been told (by a friend) that Viagra helps keep your choke knob up once it starts getting old.

Sorry, a really bad joke is all I have to offer. I'll see myself out...

Lift up the rubber dust cover, use super thin safety wire to put tension on the plastic "legs" which keeps the choke knob in the "up position". Or just buy on off of EBay. Lol

You can run the ziptie over the rubber boot also. It'll still work. (Did just that with my old RM250...ran it like that for years).

Have used the safety wire method in the past, put for $20 just put a new one in. Just put a new one in my YZ a couple of months ago because of the exact same reason.
