Hello I own a 2005 CRF450R and she need some fresh oil. Which filter and oil do you recommand?

Also need a new chain but can someone explain me the 100, 106, 110 and stuff like that? I need to select an option before buying and I don't want to buy the wrong stuff. I'm buying on Fortnine since I'm Canadian.

Thank you!

Oem filter and maxima 530mx synthetic oil or amsoil full synthetic. Just run the stock chain size but go with RK or DID.

I love shell rotella T-6 run it all my bikes after break in, never had an issue with it... I’ve also ran ATF Type F in the trans side of Honda’s with no problems... and I second the OEM paper filter elements and DID chain...

In the trans? What do you mean like you can't mix both oil, sorry if I'm dumb but I really want to be sure.

05 crf450’s have a case design where transmisision oil is separate from the engine oil... you have two fill ports and two separate drain plugs

OEM filter, HiFloFiltro, K&N, Twin Air, Emgo, Fram, ProFilter...Whatever you can get cheapest; Changed every other oil change (hopefully you're doing oil changes quite regularly since that generation CRF has low, appx 700cc in each side, oil capacities).

Regarding chain info, the length (114, 116, 118, 120 typical links for Moto bikes) depends on what you're running for gearing. I go 14-52 on my 2008 CRF450 and just get a 120 and cut it down. Splits the difference between 13-48/49 options and helps handling as well. Also, never skimp out on a quality chain: DID, Renthal, RK, Regina, EK, Sunstar (MXR1 one of the lighter non-oring options) all make solid gold chains.
