Ive been using 927 for years. My last 1/2 gallon jug I got seems noticably "thinner" viscosity than Im used to seeing. Been using it so far with no issues, but wondered if anyone else has noticed or experianced this?

I have been using it for years and mine seems the same as always. Did you get it from a reputable place? I have been wondering for some time if the Chinese have been making fake name brand name oil...they make fake everything else.

Switch to Belray, thank me later.
No thanks!! I used Belray for years. It would foul plugs about every two hours of run time. I switched to 927 Castor about 3 years ago and haven't fouled a plug since!

I always get it from RMATV. Id consider that reputable.

Hmmm.

Knowing what I know about 927 and what I know about any Bel-Ray premix, this sounds strange. Run what works for you, though!

Ok, so an update. I got a new bottle. Poured some from each bottle into a clear plastic cup. Just pouring I can tell a difference. Then swishing around in the cup confirms. My "old" bottle (a couple months?) is much thinner than the new bottle. Weird huh! Didnt have any issue with the thinner stuff as we have killed most of the bottle with no ill effects, just thought it was worth noting and asking about. Any further input is still appreciated.

If you have any left in the old bottle, see if Maxima will test it for you. They may like to know about it from a QC standpoint.

Would the warmer weather make it thinner ? It has crossed my mind in the past after leaving 2 stroke oil sitting in the van in warm weather

Likely so, but this is at normal temps in my garage and also tested side by side in the same conditions.
