Just picked up an 06 RM250 and am planning on getting a Lectron.

Is the current Keihin on my bike on the list for Keihin swaps for 02-07 cr250? Would like to know that I can sell my carb before I drop $ on a Lectron.

Yes. Jetting is unique based on YZ, RM, KX, KTM swaps, but it should be a short body with TPS! Good info in provided link:

Any particular reason why you'd change out the Keihin for a Lectron? I've only heard GREAT things about the RM250 jetting from 2004-2008...

Honestly this is my first carbureted bike in almost 10 years and I suck at jetting.

I should probably soldier on with what I've got and get it running well before I go spending $400 on a carb.

The Keihin is an excellent carb. Chances are you will still have to tune the Lectron, which can be expensive if you have to buy different metering rods to dial in your setup. I wouldn't waste a dime on the Lectron.

Id grab a jd jetting kit for the keihin. Or read a jetting thread and go with the hot set up.

That Keihin on a 250 has always been very easy to setup in my experience. I almost never have to do anything to my YZ250 other than play with the air screw, and usually that’s only a 1/8th turn or less.

Rm250 is one of the best running 250s ever. You should be able to dial it just with pilot and needle clip
