So I've been out of the mini moto game for almost 5 years now but have the want to get another bike again.

Long story short my buddy built this bike close to 10 years ago and the thing has sat for almost the whole time.

I have an opportunity to buy it off of him...

What do you guys think the thing is worth? It will need some TLC / maintenance to get it back up to snuff but shoot that's half the fun right!?

Front forks will need serviced and I don't know whats up with that rear shock...

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Anyone femilar with this Takegawa 88cc kit / race head?

half of whatever a stock one in that condition would go for. looks like you have a LOT of work ahead of you

That's got some good kit on it. Frame, swingarm, shock, forks and head set, disk brakes, hi bars and seat. And then theres the legit top end of that engine. Not cheap Chinese copy. Big bucks spent on that build up originally. Definitely worth the money to me and I'd buy it straight up for my boy over the other alternatives

Thats a really nice bike and quality build I would say 2k- 2500 in that condition cleaned up could be worth more. The 50 mods don't fetch as much as the 110 mods do but thats still a nice bike.

That’s a pretty good price man. It’s got some goodies on it. Look up the group mini moto mx on Facebook, that’s basically the new planetminis

Someone definitely dropped some money there along time ago. Bike looks like it was mostly built with Red Baron parts and they’re out of business so if you need anything for the frame it’ll be tough to get. The forks are BBR obviously and they’re still around. They’re basically longer crf70 copies. The top end of that engine is legit. Takegawa is a big name in small Honda engine performance, probably the best there is. Again parts will difficult to get and expensive because it’s all got to come from Japan. If you need takegawa parts try chp minis out of Texas, they’ve had some takegawa stuff I needed in the past. If you’re interested I have one of their $1000 close ratio trans and clutch kits that will really wake that bike up that I would sell for super cheap just to get it out of my garage.
