Just wanted to pass along a tip to anyone splitting the cases on a 3rd Gen AF CR250 for the first time. When you pull the ratchet housing off the end of the shift drum, there is a locating pin in the end of the shift drum. I incorrectly assumed that it was a drive-in fit in the drum...wrong. I was blowing off the drum with my air hose prior to putting it back together, only to see the pin go shooting across the garage, off the bench, and to the depths of the unknown (aka the space under/around my workbench).

Fortunately I must’ve had some good fortune as a found it.

Thought I’d save someone else a potential headache...

All the pins on my 05 cr125 are slip fit on both sides.

The compressed air method is good for removing pistons from calipers too. Just make sure you can find them when they almost kill you haha
