Yes. You need the 2018 (17-20) clamp set , or an aftermarket set.Everything will bolt right up. The CRF250 set valving will be close to what you need, but you will need the lightest springs that Factory connection has available. Your shock spring will also need to be heavier to balance out the forks. I had my suspension guy put the shock valving close to what a CRF450 (06-07) has stock. It will be a firm setup (I'm 160lbs), but if you're an agressive or heavier rider it works awesome

the set the guy has comes with the clamps ..He also said Factory Connection just did a full revalve on them as well..So you're saying to get a heavier rear shock spring once I switch the forks out?

My experience is with the 18 CRF250 forks. The springs on those forks is too stiff for the CR250, The valving is very good. On a set of CRF450 forks, the springs will be even heavier. You need to get the lightest rate fork springs that Factory Connection has available (They were the lightest ones I could find) You will probably have the compression clickers close to full soft. What is your weight?

The 03 forks can be made to work well. If you can find a set of good condition 05-07 CR250 forks, they have much better valving stock and much more potential, if revalved for your weight/speed. That said, the forks from 2018 are a 15 year jump in technology and have even more potential, if they are set up correctly for you and your bike.

the 2018 set I can get already have been revalved by Factory Connection last season and come with the clamps for 750$..I might just pull the trigger on the 18 setup seeing it going to cost more close to 600 to just do my 03 set

Thats a good price. Just remember - they were revalved for a CRF450, not a CR250 2-stroke. Minimum, you will need springs. Good luck!
