On a 250F, which one do you prefer? The stock YZ250F comes with the Bridgestones, so I am deciding between staying with those or switching to the Dunlops. Probably going to run the standard 80/100-21 front and
100/90-19 rear.
Poll

Which tires on a 250F?

The Bridgestones are way easier to spoon on. That’s about all I got.

Dunlop’s are good but I can’t get over the side knobs on the front tires straight up chunk off.. whole knobs and you can see cords.. like 20hrs and it goes to hell.. the last 5 Dunlop fronts have done this...

MX33 or the older MX3s? That's what they were supposed to fix with the new 33 compound but I think they have horrible grip now. I liked the 3s but hate the 33.

I reckon the mx33 is better run backwards. Still too stiff of a tyre.
Definitely don’t tear knobs off.

I tear nobs off MX33's. My favorite weekend warrior tires are the Bridgestone Battlecross x20's and x30's. They have maybe 95% of the traction that the MX33's have, but wear way better and more predictably. When the MX33 wears (10-12hrs on a rear), it loses traction fast. The bridgestone wears evenly and linearly, and the tires remain predictable well past 15 hours.

If you are racing and can afford replacing tires often, go with the Dunlop for maximum traction. If you are a weekend warrior who wants great traction but also longer wearing, get the bridgestones.

Maybe it was the 3s? But I think it’s both I look what is on it now. I’m pretty sure it’s a 33... the 3s Is a really good tire until it goes..??‍♂️??‍♂️

I used the rebate and tried a set of X20 on the 450, the X30 wear like iron so I wanted to check them out. Solid tires in sand and loose/ prepped soil, the front maintains traction through intermediate terrain but the rear side knobs don’t inspire as much confidence as the front. I think X30 rear and X20 front might be the ticket!
