Anyone using orthotics or some cushion insoles in the boot? I’ve got a never ending case of plantar fasciitis that I need to accommodate.

Tear out an old set of running shoe insoles. I used to run a couple pair in my boots and loosen the lowest buckle to compensate. I don't know if that will help with the fasciitis, though - I understand that pain is nasty!

Yep, I do this for that exact reason. I was getting it from being on my feet all day on hard concrete at the shop. So bad at times, I'd keep a tennis ball next to the floor of my bed because there were some mornings where it took 20 minutes of rolling out my heel/foot before I could even walk to the shower.

Bought some proper work boots along with some decent orthotic insoles to put in since I'm on my feet on hard concrete 10-12 hrs. a day, and after a while they actually changed the shape of my feet. I've had flat feet my whole life, and now I have an arch that is visible in my footprint. Once those insoles were a little tired, I replaced them with new ones and I threw the used ones in my Gaerne SG10's and it made them way more comfortable.

I haven't had Plantar Fasciitis since trying this.

getting true custom insoles is the way to go. the off the shelf ones can definitely work but for strange foot shapes/foot problems custom is the way to go. they can be expensive 150-250 depending where you go but they last for years. I've had a pair for going on 6 years now. in that time you would easily spend that much on off the shelf ones.

Contact Foot Logic Inc in Ohio. They're a Moto family and can build a hell of an insole for riding boots. They also accommodate many NBA and NFL teams. I also deal with PF, but if you get the ones with the hard bottoms, they serve as excellent protection too. Coming up short or hard hits, the energy is transferred over the whole foot instead of just the peg.
