Anyone know if hubs like Haan, Kite or FasterUSA can use oem bearings?

Thinking about doing wheels for my CRF but I wanted to avoid something that uses specialty bearings.

I have Talon hubs and mic’d the original bearings and seals that came in them. Ordered the same sizes (both bearing and seal made in Japan) for around $25 a hub. Which is pretty fair for quality bearings and seals when an all balls wheel bearing kit will run nearly the same amount of money for some Chinese junk.

I know it didn’t answer your question, but it’s an easy way to not pay the ridiculous markup just because the package says “dirt bike” on it.

Faster USA are built in the US, utilize stock bearings/spokes, and have great customer service; Why go anywhere else?

I was slightly considering Haan, but I’ve kinda been sold on kite or faster since day 1 lol

I’m on the same page as you though. I always try to find quality US parts before anything else.

Thanks for the pointers, everyone 👍

I bought FasterUSA hubs and built a set of wheels. I've decided they are the goto for me from this point.
Getting ready to build another set! I've purchased Talon wheels from Dubya and while they looked great, I had loose spokes quite often. [but still this is a free opinion from an unknown internet guy ;-)]

I am pretty done with the stock spokes on KTM/Husky. Broke too many at this point. Well, it's actually the nipples that break right at the rim. Called the owner at Faster and he spoke to me for quite a while and has a lot of insight why they routinely break like this. I ended up buying a DID-STX rim and Bulldog spokes from him to fix my most recent wrecked wheel. He was happy to provide all kinds of tips and guidance on how to rebuild the wheel.

My buddy';s son also has a set of Faster wheels for his KTM 85's and they are solid. Built perfect, needed one minor tightening after initial break in and nothing since.
