2006 rm250 stalls and dies under hard breaking with clutch pulled in. Yes, I've turned the idol up...almost too high. Still does it.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Could be many things but first question is the clutch dissengaging the drive train properly and fully? Does the bike lurch at all when you put into gear with clutch pulled all the way in?

Does it stall when you brake hard using front brake only or just back brake?

Is you kill switch wiring landed properly? Exposed wires could be shorting and killing motor when braking.

You should put your idle back to where it should be and fix the real problem.... it's only masking the issue and depending on your skill level could cause you to crash.

My guess though is you have a clutch issue of some sort whether it be grooves worn into your clutch basket preventing the plates from disengaging all the way to your cable just needing to be adjusted.

Go check and let us know.

Check the carb float level. It could be starving for fuel under heavy breaking.
