Best rear tire for a 125?

I have Michelin Starcross 5 mediums on my 06 yz125. The bike rides perfect in hard pack and dry conditions. But if there's moisture/mud, it's like riding on ice. I'm about 145 pounds with gear on, and I know that plays a big role, but there's gotta be a better tire out there. I'm looking for a rear tire that won't wear out super quickly, but will be the best for soft/intermediate conditions. Whatcha got?

Starcross soft will work better in the moist/muddy conditions. Sand tires will work even better, my next tire to try is a Dunlop MX12. I've heard very good reviews on those, and they look tits.

Sorry guys, I should've explained a little more. I'm not exactly looking for a mud tire, but a tire that'll be good in moist conditions, like when it's morning and there's alot of moisture in the track and it's really soft, and also good in hard pack. Might be alot to ask for. I might try starcross 5 soft, but I don't want it to wear out too quickly. I'm in the Midwest, so the track can be super soft and wet in the morning, and then super dry by the end of the day.

Dunlop's MX33/MX3S is the answer. It was the same deal racing Upstate NY tracks, practice would be freshly ripped and overwatered mud, afternoon motos would be hardpack.

That's the choice I'm gonna go with then. And for $80, it's worth a shot. Thanks guys.

Let me know how it works out for you. I'd also run a little lower tire pressure in the AM when it's soft, then a raise it in the afternoon when it turns to hardpack. Hope it helps!

Will do. It'll probably be a couple weeks at least before I get the tire, though.
