Hey gang, I have an 04 YZ 125, and I was able to punch out the lower steering stem brace from the frame no issues. However the top race barely has any "meat" to punch on. What punch do you all use to remove the bearing races?

I use this one made by Park tools. It works okay, you'll likely have to spread out the 4 "prongs" as it's designed for a bicycle head tube which uses smaller diameter races. It also tends to slip if there's not enough "meat" on the bearing races. But a few attempts at it usually gets the job done.

Sweet, thanks Bros! How about your new bearing race installation tricks? Freeze the race?

Bro! Just flex in front of that race. It'll jump out!

Yes, freeze races and heat stem with torch.

Bro, I need to go on the roids Bro. I flexxed so hard on that thing, and it still didn't move. That race definitely doesn't skip arm day.
