What’s some recommendations for a $300ish gas pressure washer for the track?

Want to simply hook up to a water tank at the track. Was told that some have to be modified to be able to pull the water?

So would like some suggestions on some that work out the box.

Been looking at the ryobi one that’s like 2700 or so psi with a Honda engine for about $300 at Home Depot

Most pressure washers have to have a positive pressure of around 40 psi to function correctly. Notice I say most. There are some that will work fed out of a barrel in the back of a pick up. I have seen these at the nationals. But I never did investigate further.

I use a 12V on demand pump to produce the needed positive pressure that the washer needs. Located between the water source & the pressure washer.

That’s what I’ve heard before.

So hoping some people can tell me specific ones they have that work, then I’ll be good.

Would rather not get a pump, if I have to do that I’d just use my electric pressure washer and plug into a generator.

Right now I have a Simpson with a Honda motor before that I had a couple of Sears and 75% time gravity feed from a barrel and never had a problem.

If the pressure washer has a piston pump style, then it will probably not work with a gravity fed barrel for the water supply. Google pressure washer piston pump...the images are all very similar and easy to spot on the pressure washer you are interested in purchasing.

I have this Generac that came from Home Depot and works find at the track being gravity fed from a water tank.

A few things when doing gravity feed.

1. Have the water tank a couple feet or more higher than the pressure washer.

2. Plug the suction hose for soap so it is not sucking air in.

3. When connecting the hose from the water tank have it running some water through so you do not get get air in it.
