Im looking to get my forks done to match this look. Does anyone have any suggestions on which place to use to get this done.

Thanks!

Most good suspension places can do it. Call around. Cant be done if tubes are in bad condition.

Out of curiosity what’s the big difference between this & Kashima coating?

I think the other thread does not answer the OP's question. Where does one send outer tubes to have the outside anodized? (NOT DLC, Kashima, TiN, etc.), JUST prettying them up. Smile

Kashima is for the outer tubes too and lots of places can send that off to get done in Japan. Ive talked to Race Tech and have emails into quite a few suspension shops, but so far no one can do the exact color Im looking for.

Bought a set of 08 CRF250 suspension that already had DLC lowers and hard ano black lugs. Just sent the upper tubes and shock body out yesterday to anopros.com to get a "Kashima like" hard ano on the upper tubes and shock body. $250 to do upper tubes and shock body. Another $50 to polish the shock body before coating. Not too bad

Nice deal there. When you get them back, please post the pictures. Im interested to see how they turn out.

Have a 47mm rmz kit sitting in my office, hard ano lugs, DLC lowers and coated uppers coated. Look close to the look your going after. Hit me up if your interested, I'd be willing to sell them.
