Best clutch basket for KX250

Pulled the clutch assembly on my new to me 2007 KX250. Hub and basket edges are badly grooved.

What's the best option for a replacement clutch basket?

OEM Kawasaki: 13095-0048 - $282.79
Hinson: 151-1013 - $259.99
Wiseco: WPP3048 - $169.95
Barnett: 321-45-01014 - $233.10

I have a Hinson in both my 125 and 250 and love it. High quality and can definitely tell a difference

I posted in your build thread, but definitely oem or Hinson. Can’t go wrong with either.

Isn't OEM die-cast aluminium that wears out quickly? The Hinson, Wiseco and Barnett baskets are forged among other treatments. Can't find a 'shootout' of the top basket makers to know which is best.

Correct me if im wrong but the wiseco is billet like the hinson and its got a lifetime warranty. With it being the cheapest why wouldnt you go with it

"Precision forged. Larger oiling holes in the clutch basket tangs increase lubrication, reduce heat build-up and reduce weight. Supplied with high-quality fasteners complete with pre-applied thread locker for a secure grip during assembly. Hardcoated anodized and Teflon-coated to offer superior wear resistance and a smooth clutch operation.

* Manufacturer's limited lifetime warranty"

Even better.

Barnett baskets have the stainless steel fingers covers that will last years over anodized or alkidized aluminum. They virtually will not groove.

Hinsons are great, but I have also used a Mitaka basket with great success.

Was able to get one for about £95 here in the UK and it lasted 2 seasons with 0 issues. I wouldn't use their pistons but the Mitaka baskets are solid. Far better than Talon!

RussB, thanks for sharing your Mitaka basket experience. I was on their site a couple of months back, looking at baskets.
