I am in need of front and rear tires for my bike. I ride western nc/upstate sc mainly. A good mix of everything... anyways, i need a tire that will hold up good and not be junk after a decent 10 rides. I have pirreli mx32s now and they are snapping knobs off after 6 rides. I had dunlops mx3s and they lasted a long time but they are very expensive now...

Here in the northeast bridgestone M59 for the front tire is tough to beat. All around awesome tire in varied conditions and never steps out or does anything weird. In the rear the Pirreli MT16 or IRC VE33 always seem to be solid choices for trail duty.
I've run the pirelli MX32's and while the traction was always excellent, like you they chunked knobs very quickly, especially in the front.

I like this combo on everything except mud... Pirelli Extra X back tire and Dunlop AT81 front.
