Mikuni or Keihin Carburetor?

Most 2 strokes come stock with Keihin carburetors, but I see many people installing Mikuni carburetors. What are the advantages of a Mikuni carb over Keihin carb if any?

I think you have part of that backwards? I don't see too many people removing Keihin carbs for Mikunis. You do see the opposite quite often. Personally I prefer Keihin as I am familiar with them and have a large amount of jets for them. I think most people find Keihin carbs less finicky and easier to jet for a larger range of conditions........

You have that backwards, some people are swapping Mikuni for Keihin on new KTMs

The mikuni carb that people are swapping out on their ktm has come stock on yz and rm125 and worked well for many years
