Baby powder in tubes when changing tires or no?

Opinions wanted:
I’ve seen recommendations in the mags and also seen tire changes at the races where they use baby powder or talcum powder on the tube prior to installation. Is this a feel good step or does it actually help prevent friction between the tube and the tire?

Rub two pieces of rubber together without some, then add baby powder and try again.

New tubes, always. Used tubes not really necessary since there usually dirty and broke in and not near as sticky as new ones

Just a side note, since the mass talcum class action lawsuites all I can see anywhere anymore is corn starch powder baby powder. Is this stuff worth messing with compared with real old school talcum powder? Thanks if anyone knows.

Always and a fairly generous amount. Not quite a Tony Montana amount, but still a fair bit.

I used it in the past, but now use a water and Dawn soap mix instead.

I have a large/strong plastic bag with baby powder in it.
Tube goes in, tube comes out nicely covered.
Bag gets packed away for next time.
Easy, relatively mess free, and efficient use of powder.
