No, yes, well sort of...

While current Showa KYB and WP use 50mm shock bodies, the ID and length of the springs differ. Showa being the largest in ID will be too loose and end up rubbing the body if you put one on a KYB shock without a reducer. A KYB or WP will not fit onto the preload collar of the Showa. You can use a KYB spring on the pre '16 WP shock but not sure if they fit the '16+ correctly as I've never tried. So no. yes, sort of Wink

Thanks Slip, I have a 12' KTM. The stock spring is a 5.8 so it works when I am riding a little over my head but I need a tad more comfort. I was just curious on if you could swap them do to the availability of KYB stuff on ebay.

The WP is something like 63x63mm ID at each end and the KYB is 63x65mm ID so you can use a KYB spring. One end will have a little extra play, but it's not very noticeable and not enough to make the spring deflect under load and rub the shock body.

Always best to use OEM spec parts for the application, but it will work.

I'm probably going to use OE or Race Tech stuff. I was just wondering because I seen my stuff hanging out in the shed from past bikes. Thanks Again
