Just bought a project, and in tearing in apart I noticed the outside of the main bearing, where the bearing meets the case, was spinning freely against the case. I just wanted to double check this is NOT supposed to be happening, is that right? It spins freely like that on both sides. Nothing is seized and I have not come across any other damage, shavings, ect.

Nobody answered, but I did confirm with a shop that specializes in these small engine Hondas, that yes, that is supposed to move as it does in the video.

Maybe some future person might find that helpful
