Hey, I'm wanting to blast some soda, but not sure what size compressor you can get away with...
I know my pancake compressor won't cut it...at all.
Gun manufacturers say you need 15-20 scfm @90 psi.
I just want to get a smaller compressor for my garage.
Any answers are appreciated.

I think if I was blasting regularly I would fry the motor on the compressor as it did get quite hot.
But for a budget restoration it worked well and I would buy again.
Just wanting to do calipers/carb/engine covers, etc.
Found one, 20 gal, 4 cfm@90psi, 150psi.
Wondering if I can do small stuff with it.
Definitely not trying to do large items..and not in a hurry.
I keep seeing the need for a towable compressor when I look at the specs for the guns...
Did you just use baking soda from walmart, or did you get something different?

You also want to use soda that is meant for blasting, like the stuff from HF as mentioned. Regular baking soda will clump up, clog, pain in the arse.
That's what I was wanting to hear.
you just put the air on one side of the splitter and the water slurry on the other.
there are some you tube videos on it
I will take a look at that.
