Hey all,
Been having some issues with the rear brake in my 2017 Husky FC 350. I've had the two adjuster nuts (clevis area) come loose and work there way up to the point of locking up the rear brake. I also noticed that my rear brake pedal is bent outwards to the point it's rubbing on the frame. Not sure how or when this all happpened. I've set those nuts twice now and have had them come loose both times. Should I thread lock them? Also looking to get a new brake pedal but it doesn't look like I have a lot of options... The hammerhead is big money where the tusk is reasonable. Anyone have any experienses in these? I looked at the OEM but looks like them want near 100 for it. Also, any experiences with the Fasst rear brake return spring kit? Looks like it could solve my first problem. Thanks in advance guys! Sorry for the bombardment.

I have experience with tusk and hammerhead. They are literally identical if you compare them side by side. Both bend easily. If you dont care about Chinese stuff on your bike then go with tusk.

Try loctite on your nuts and see. Use blue.

Its not so much the brand as its the material. Aluminum is really soft & bends easily

Also, you want your levers to bend. Imagine your shift lever being made of steel and it bends the shift rod in your motor instead of the lever itself. Or if your clutch was steel and it broke off the entire perch.

Well that makes sense, thanks! You've had good luck with the tusk brand? I don't see why there is almost a 100 dollar difference?

I dont see a reason for the difference eifher. I bent a hammerhead shifter on my bike. Ordered a tusk replacement. Literally is a clone. One is $20 the other is close to $100 i believe.
