Just put one of these on my 19’ kx450. It’s super loud and almost annoying anyone else have that experience using these? And can point me in the direction of a better one

The Acerbis Chain Guide/Slider is step 1 with all my KXs. I have this on my 19, 16 prior, and have no noticeable noise. Gearing and Chain length will cause some issues. Some one had a Suzuki with a larger sprocket and a stock chain, which pulled the chain across the guide at a severe angle. I am running the stock gearing with a 116 link chain. The longevity and durability has been amazing.

I used a TMD GP guide on my 250SX and now I use an Acerbis one on my FC250. I think the TM one was better, but not for the noise … mainly for the wear. I don't recall hearing either of them.

Are you running the correct chain slack? Spec is 48-54mm (1.9-2.1 in) not 3 fingers.

Yes I’m pretty religious with checking that stuff. I’m running a 49 tooth sprocket if that matters

Perfect, so am I. With a 49 sprocket, maybe it is riding against the top of the block, when the suspension is under riding load. Not sure if a manufacture change will solve the noise issue. The Suzuki I mentioned eat the back/lower 1/2"-1". Sorry, that's all I know.
