I've got a 91 cr250 I rebuilt from the ground up last winter and I'm wanting to swap out the triple clamps or mainly the top clamp so I can go with a clamp that has the rubber mount for bars. So I'm just wondering is there a direct swap off a newer bike or do I have to swap upper and lower clamp if so should I just go with a whole newer front end forks and all any information is appreciated.
I figured I'd attach a pic of my baby see what ya guys think

Does the 91 cr500 have rubber mounted clamps? If yes, that would be the easiest swap as I"m sure the fork diameter is the same.

I thought of that one of my good friends has a cr500 and they are virtually identical
