Semi-related: I've always wondered how the oil separates from the fuel in the bottom end? Heat related?

Castrol R (30 or 40) was used by my Dad and Uncle on their 4ts and 2ts.

Smelt fanBloodytastic to me when I was a nipper, in the Sixties.

Please don`t use 4 stroke oil in the 2 stroke engine . I seen the carnage that i cause on the 2stroke piston.
Looked like it was dragged true a rock quarry. It was on a brand new engine too

Dad used fork oil to make emergency premix on the trail for his IT200. That was during a race too.
