Any 350 riders tried a 13 tooth front sprocket?

Trying to get to the top of the power curve, and not sure to drop a tooth on the front, or add 2 on the rear.

I don't have a 350, but a riding buddy has one and we experimented with the gearing to get it where he could ride almost any mx track in 3 gear. We took 2 teeth off the rear.

I went 52 teeth on a 13 350sxf, great for 3rd gear cornering

Im running stock gearing on my Husky 350 (14-50) and feel like I can corner just fine in 3rd gear.

Very few corners do I need to use 2nd gear but I think if anything I would go to a 51 on the rear and leave the stock counter shaft sprocket.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I have a 13 tooth front that I am gonna throw on and test. Used to be equal to about 2.5 teeth on the rear, not sure if that still holds.

If not, sounds like the 52 is the way to go.

Let us know how it goes. I just got a '17 350 sxf and I'm struggling to pull 3rd gear. I'm also really heavy and I ride softer tracks. I've got a 51 ordered so we'll see how it goes.

One down on the front will be more like 4 on the rear

14/50=3.57
14/51=3.64
13/50=3.85
14/54=3.86
13/51=3.92
14/55=3.93

I just got a 51 and rode with it yesterday.

Not a huge difference but noticeable. Easier to pull some of the slower corners in 3rd gear and I use less clutch, does shorten 3rd gear up though on some of the faster sections.

I will be going between a 50 and a 51, as I don't think I need anything more than that for the tracks I ride.

Also, try riding with the #2 map (aggressive) and the Traction Control on or off. I prefer it off when its real loamy but turn it back on as the track dries out or if they water.

Update on gearing the 350. For me the way to go is the quick take up throttle reel (black one) and dropping a tooth on the counter shaft sprocket. I can now use 2nd in really tight rutted corners no problem and the high revs are reachable.

Might try a 52 rear w standard counter sprocket for more wide open tracks, but am pretty pleased with it as it is.

Next step is to put on an RD throttle body and Vortex ignition that I have on a 270 sxf. I understand that this bumps the low and mid quite a bit.
