2019 KTM 450 SXF popping on decel

Just picked up a fresh one a few days ago. Took it out for a ride yesterday. Went through the normal break in procedures. The bike was popping on decel the whole day. Pretty annoying to say the least.

Checked the exhaust over for leaks and found none. Also noticed the spark arrestor screen in the silencer has a hole blown through it after riding. I have the TPS tool that I used on my 16'. Is the setting the same for adjustment .60-.64 for the sweet spot? Any other ideas? Thanks

If the bike has a new ecu and mapping the voltage is likely different. Look up a 19 service manual and see. Im putting my bets on the voltage being different and youre still off. I doubt you have an exhaust leak on a new bike.

I remember someone else reported popping on their new Factory Editions 450's when they came out last Spring. My TPS on my new 450 FE was only .49 when I checked it. Bumped it to .60 but I never had any popping to begin with. I ended up sending my ECU to Tokyo Mods for a re-flash along with the FMF full exhaust. Big differance.

Thanks. Im going to run it up to .60 and see if it fixes the popping.

I think they are just some kind of funky screen. The screen mesh may not be fine enough to pass forestry approval.

We had to adjust our TPS to get rid of the popping on our 18 FE! Was at around 52 and we went to 60. Just added the FMF and went to 62!
